Clôture de Conakry Capitale Mondiale du Livre Unesco 2017

On April 22, 2018, the city of Conakry completed its program for the 2017 mandate of UNESCO as World Book Capital: a whole year devoted to the promotion of books and reading in the service of culture, youth, literacy, essential ingredients for economic and social development of the Republic of Guinea.

The grand closing of this world cultural event is the culmination of several years of effort by all actors working to improve and develop access to books in Guinea.
